Am ft J I I I v Swaziland missionary to speak at church NEWMARKET A missionary on furlough from Swaziland will speak to the congregation of the Newmarket Church of the Nazarene during both morning and evening services Sunday April 3 Miss J Bates is on her third furlough since leaving for the mission field in Miss Bates has performed nursing and related duties in the main hospital and clinics located throughout the northern part of the country during her missionary terms This past term she has been alone on the station at Peak where she has been in charge of the mission station and also had the supervision of from she to twelve station clinics located from to miles from her home Tins work includes general nursing midwifery and evangelistic work through the clinics On weekends she has been active In wayside schools and a preaching point outside of Peak The missionary services will include her speaking presentation of the missionary work of the church In Swaziland in the medical and evangelistic aspects especially telling of the workings of the Holy Spirit In their midst Miss Bates was educated in Canada She received her RN degree at the Nursing School of Holy Family Hospital Prince Albert Sask and her degree from Canadian Nazarene College She received her midwifery degree from Queen Victoria Hospital in Johan nesburg South Africa Her home is In Prince Albert Sask during
