the work fell on too few members The decision not to put on the show again this year was made by the small executive last year The show ran for consecutive years Mrs Dorothy Sedgeman who is in charge of the clubs operation said the decision was made because of the amount of extra work it took to put on the production Costs were taken in to account as well she said citing extra ice lime for practises the cost of materials for costumes lighting and music The time factor and the amount of work that a few people were doing for a group of many was however the main reason for the decision Most winters the clubs registration is people or more and last year there were 275 people registered Our Town on Ice will be staged again next year and will appear on Newmarket ice every second year from now on she said The club continues to operate however the spring school which is already fully registered will open at worth Arena April Plans for Our Town on Ice will go into action at the end of this summer when a theme will be chosen for the show NEWMARKET Tickets are now available for the Newmarket Lions Club Music Festivals annual Festival of Stars the club has announced Two Festivals of Stars will be held again this year On April 29 one will be held at Trinity United Church and on May 7 a special festival for pianists will be held at Grace Church Only the winners of the annual
