lone supporter of the provinces suggestion told the mayor We cant shuck off on somebody else our problems Its our duty to maintain our cemeteries The councillor said he could not agree with councils resolution to send a letter to the minister telling him that King could not afford to maintain cemeteries You are wasting time and postage by writing such a letter Councillor argued It is our respon sibility to point these things out Mayor told the councillor If he doesnt know now he will at election timeV Councillor Sheardown pointed out Councillor Doug Brookes noted Im inclined to agree with Mr on this but the letter was sent to us to clean up our act so feel we should send them a letter explaining our situation Youre not going to prove anything by doing It Youre running off in all directions again Councillor Sheardown told council in flatly refusing to go along with the idea Council agreed to send the letter following a five to one vote telling the minister that while the operating and maintaining recreational facilities in the forests The reference to recreation is a new ad dition to provincial policy according to regional solicitor Edward In the past the forest replacement agreement has referred to land acquisition and upkeep only said regional staff did not have much information concerning specific intentions of the ministry and he suggested council send a
