honor Mrs Merchant John Ball former chairman of the library board presented Mrs Merchant with a pin and spoke of the forming of the township library with Mrs Merchant a member of the first board Mrs Marchant reminisced of the early days of the original Schomberg library It is years since she as a member of the Womens Institute helped establish a little library located in a private home Later when the community hall was rebuilt she was one of those who raised money and worked for the building of the library Her husband Clarence Marchant has cooperated throughout the years in the library Former Mrs were also present Mrs Watson and Mrs Dixon who have both given many years of service to the library for some as volunteers have been serve as supply assistants when they are needed Mrs Hazel Ellis
