the Newmarket Historical Committee Hie sketch was done by Sharon artist Frank and copies can be obtained from I committee member Jan The church will be demolished shortly NEWMARKET The Newmarket Historical Committee has embarked on a unique project designed to provide members with a portfolio of pen and ink sketches and brief histories of the towns historic buildings The sketches are being done by Sharon artist Frank and the histories are being prepared by members of the committee History texts on different buildings will be in cluded in the Com mittees regular news letter and prints of Mr Nilsens finely drawn sketches will be sold at the meetings for 1 Mr will also have larger prints available for sale at the meetings and the Committee eventually plans to have calen dars and hastinote paper printed featuring his sketches of the century buildings First building in the scries is St Johns Roman Catholic Church on Ontario St which will soon be torn down Committee members were Region Board of Health was legalized Thursday The seal used in December on a document executed by the board had never been officially adopted by the board according to a report from board secretary
