to i If November bazaar Club 396 an organization of Eagle St was awarded the Welfare Minister Marc Lalonde According to Ben Harrison spokesman for Club 396 grant represents the total sum applied for by the club Mr Harrison said the grant money will be used to buy a quilting frame for ladies in the apartment building craft supplies for knitting and crocheting projects quilting material and supplies for making dolls and for silk screening All the products of these projects will be offered for sate at the clubs November bazaar In addition grant funds will be used to buy a storage cabinet for film projector now in the building and to buy four new garden plots available to the senior citizens on Church St and some apartment residents have established garden plots Horizons grant is also marked for spades rakes and hoes for these gardens Club has about 50 active members in building said Mr Harrison The New Horizons program Is designed to encourage retired people to undertake
