there is too much competition for players from other sports Soccer and base- are very popular in Newmarket with Aurora having a strong soccer league and a large soft ball program There is very little reason the facilities there which are the best outside of the city The Aurora Community Centre has a seat ing capacity of people and is a very good place for a lacrosse team to play It cculd tap the whole north part of York Region as well But good facilities does not ensure good crowds at the games I have heard various figures as to what average attendance the team must have to break even It varies from to per game The Aurora did not average 1000 attendance in their past season and it is hard for me to believe that the Astros will be able to come anywhere near it The figure may be easier
