MERCHANTS PLAN MAIN ST MALL POLLUTION NEWMARKET Main St from Park Ave to Water St will be closed off for a shopping mall during the first weekend of October Town councillors have approved the mall but await the next council meeting for formal ratification The mall which is being organ ized by the Main St merchants is to be part of the celebrations to mark the opening of the towns call for the threeblock long stretch to be closed to vehicles from am Friday Oct 2 to midnight the be completed in time to hold the open ing earlier and pressure is mounting from the Redmen Junior hockey club to
