be in effect in the very near future Ronnie Wilson son of Mr and Mrs W Wilson of Keswick was presented with a Proficiency Award plaque by Optimist president John Hop kins Ronnie gained the award when he obtained 14 merit badges in 1963 and was the 1st cub in the area to achieve this distinction He is a Grade student at Sutton and Dis trict High School Boy Scout of Canada calen dars for were distributed to the leaders to be given to the boys to sell AH proceeds will go towards scouting in the area Plans were discussed for the annual Father and Son banquet scheduled for Friday February 23 and John Bros- chell was nominated chair man of the special events committee looking after the event The Ladies Auxiliary of the Scouts and Cubs will again be in charge of plan ning the menu Plans
