party candidate for York North is a charming tall blonde girl from Owen Sound Her family farmed near and she grew up there Later she went into nursing at the IndianEskimo Hospital at Moose Factory where she met Tom who was at that time working on the MidCanada Line The Taylors have a young family of four children The two oldest are just In school at the Holland Marsh Chris Han Reformed School Mrs Taylor is a member of the She taught Sunday School there but retired af ter the birth of her two youn gest children Mrs Taylor Is active In the Liberal organizations and holds the office of 2nd vicepresident of the York Riding When asked if she liked her husband In politics she said You have to accept a respon sibility to your town and your country to participate you must also have a voice In this responsibility To help her husbands cam paign she looks after all tele phone messages helps to ar range and organize Coffee Par ties and arranges get ac quainted meetings at her home GETACQUAINTED She also organizing a Getacquainted with Tom Taylor Night at the Aurora Community Centre on Sept 30 She will be hostess for the event Friends and Liberal work ers will be helping with the luncheon and a dance will fol low with music by Harvey Burling and the High Hals Mrs Taylor all areas of communications such as radio television bro chures leaflets and pamphlets with her husband and he In turn asks her advice on his speeches Mrs Taylor likes people and Is very outgoing She Is Inter ested In fashions likes mod styles for young girls and minis on young girls She pre fers kneelength skirts as her personal choice with simple styles In dresses Her favorite color Is blue but she wears greens too This enhances her blonde per sonality She does her housework In slacks and prefers wearing these at home but she likes to dress appropriately for tha special occasion She is hostess at her resi dence quite often The Tay lors entertain at small and large parties and enjoy corn roasts and barbecues on their spacious lawn and garden Mrs Taylor prefers neat and simple clothes for her live children Just now her taste in clothes for them runs to plaids and tartans The pel Progressive Conserva tive party candidate for York North is the former Eliza Barker of Temperanceville who was educated at the Tem per Public School and Aurora District High School Mrs Hodgsons daughter Beth was educated there too having several of the same teachers Beth is now Mrs Wayne MacLennan and a pilots wife and Beth Is at present teaching at Dr Williams Secondary School in Aurora Mrs Hodgsons a c n daughter Janice is with the Imperial Bank of Commerce The eldest son Bob Is a civil engineer The youngest son David returned this week to his studies In Business Admin istration at the University of Western Ontario GRANDCHILDREN The Hodgsons have five grandchildren Mrs Hodgson greatly admires her mother- inlaw Mrs Annie Hodgson Her admiration shows in her face when she speaks about
