and Mrs New ton Edward Lesley and were guests of Mrs Hitiaby of Street The Newton family were former residents of New market They returned to Canada from New Zealand where they have been liv ing for the past five years Mrs Hillaby received a telephone call from her son David recently from the Navy Training base at Corn- Nova Scotia David is the fourth member of the Hillaby family to enlist in the next week and spend a few days visiting friends there They also expect to visit Expo Mr and Mrs Allan Town- send of New Zealand were guests of Mrs last week They are now visiting friends in Niagara Falls and will go to Expo and Montreal Mr and Mrs of Indiana were recent guests of Mrs Eva Traviss Mr and Mrs Gordon have just returned from a two week trip to Vancouver BC Mrs A Georgas and Miss Cathy were hostess es for a China and Linen Shower for brideelect Mary Joyce Naismith at their residence on St Wednesday evening Miss Naismith is marrying Mr Larry Hill Sept Over friends and neighbors at tended the luncheon Mrs D of Sriglcy St entertained at a miscel laneous shower for Miss brideelect of Mr Wayne Tomllnson A buffet luncheon was serv ed the fifteen guests Mrs Donald Gibson and Mrs Gary Wist held a linen and miscellaneous shower for Miss at Mrs Gibsons home In Sharon Twenty neighbors and fri ends enjoyed luncheon and wished Lynne the best of everything in her future married life Mr and Mrs Victor Mc- Cutcheon have just return ed from their three week vacation spent at their cot tage on Manitoulon Island While they were holiday ing Mr and Mrs William and daughters visit ed them for a few days Mr and Mrs Henry Cutcheon dropped in for a short stay with them also They were on their way back from their TransCan ada tour Mrs Stephens Eagle St returned on Saturday from a trip to the West Coast Mrs Stephens spent a few days with friends in Vancouver touring that area until her brother came up from beside They then motored to the Olympic mountains for two weeks of visiting Walker elder son of Mr and Mrs Sheldon Walker Sharon Rev Robert Mc- performed the double ring ceremony The wedding music was played by Mrs Arthur Cham pion and the soloist was Mrs Irwin Arnold The attendants were Miss Susan Kitching maid of hon or Miss Sharron Walker Miss Catherine bridesmaids Miss Nancy junior bridesmaid and Master Brian ring- bearer Mr Gordon Walker was best man with Mr Ken neth Weddel and Mr Maliory ushers Given in marriage by her father the bride wore a sheath gown of white crystal peau- soie with a high rise bod ice accented with reembroidered lace across the bodice and cape sleeves Her chapel length train was accented with matching lace and held In place with two bows She wore a three tiered length Veil held In place with a crown of alencone lace sprinkled with pearls and crystals and carried a bouquet of white roses babys breath ivy and streamers The bridal attendants were gowned in floor length avoca do silk chiffon gowns with fit ted bodice of matching lace with Ihreequarter length sleeves accented with a satin band at empire waist and sleeve At the reception in the Church Hall Mrs David Weddell received the guests in an aqua sheath dress and semifitted coat of silk with matching ac cessories and a yellow rose corsage ANORSVELDT Miss Ann J youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Moses of Newmarket was united In marriage to Mr E Bowdery al the Christian Reformed Church on Saturday Aug Rev J DePater officiated Mr Henry suf fered head Injuries and severe bruises when struck by a car on the 3rd Concession of King and was taken to York County Hospital for treatment Mr H Ppins St was able to return home after being in the hospital for over two months Mr and Mrs Pools St celebrated their 50th wed ding anniversary Aug Mrs- J Hall and Bibbie of Hamilton visited Mr and Mrs VanDykeo on Sun day Mr and Mrs of Brampton visited their daugh ter and soninlaw Mr and Mrs VsnDyk Mrs Geo VerKsik of Springdale is visiting Mr and Mrs Horttnga a Mr and Mrs Berlin are spending a few weeks at the cottage at Lake Buncos r l Mr Horiings is a patient at York County Hos pital in Newmarket Mr and Mrs K Snyder and family of visited the tatters parents Mr
