either defective or unable to AURORA Recent heavy rains and flood prompted a series of large and small complaints to Aurora Town Coun cil meeting Monday night including a dele gation from the Kemano Road area re questing relief or suggestions to alleviate blockage of water and subsequent flooding and foul odors The Town Engineer will be advised to make a study and report back to council as soon as possible with suggestions regarding the installation of catch basins and the re sponsibility of costs Speaking for the delegation Mr P Grainger urged the matter be clarified as soon as possible He suggested Installation of catch basins In the northwest area of Kemano Road as during the recent heavy rains water had been almost coming In the windows of some of the houses It was explained to the delegation that In order to Install any system of drainage in the area easement would be required from the property owners concerned Some members of council felt that subdividing contractor for the homes should have a degree of responsibility written Into his agreement The lots in question are adjacent to land owned by Consolidated Building Corporation and some previous attempts to remedy the situation had received opposition from prop erty owners who had objected to machinery travelling over their lots Questioned regarding the problem the Wurks Superintendent told council that he considered It would require at least two catch basins to take care of the seepage but It would still require easement which had been lacking when the situation had been before council some lime ago i
