events cast their shadows be fore them so the saying goes In a recent report issued Water Resources Com mission it was indicated air and water pollution was cost ing each ami every Ontario resident to slay the dragon pollution The Upper Holland Valley Conservation Authority is a leader in this regard We are most fortunate to have a group of dedicated citizens such as Lambert George Hunter and represen tatives from participating mu nicipalities working towards licking stream pollution Much has been done in this regard for example Fairy Authority is work ing conscientiously towards completing major projects now on their planning boards which will provide recreation areas and green belts Included in the major pro jects now being carried out by the Authority are the Bradford Holland Landing Wesley Brooks Fairy Lake King and Whitchurch conser vation areas Much work has been completed on these proj ects was the reKrt given at a recent Authority meeting held in Newmarket Plans for further development in these various area were considered and given the green light The Authority in the years ahead will establish a lake area to the north of Newmarket at the second locks
