Ever hear the one about the Scotsman who had been In perfect health up until the day a friend dropped into his house and found he had passed away with a smile on his face In his hand he was clutching a newspaper ad which said week only Half price on all fun erals Most of us arc more concerned these days about how to beat the high cost of living Manners and I got talking about this pro blem recently We came to the conclusion that the best way to try to overcome Inflation Is to put any dollars you can Into something that will in crease In value as prices go up You can do this by buying stocks on the market If you water and sewer connections were happen to be very wise very available Supporting Mr Irwins request were the reeve deputyreeve Councillors Choppin and Councillors Kent risk over many stocks you have to be lucky enough or wise enough to pick a stock that will rise In value as much as living costs do A safer way of accomplishing the same end is to Invest In real estate beginning with your own home That way you not only guarantee yourself a roof over your head but by taking out the customary mortgage you give yourself legal control over a pro perty worth several times the val ue of the actual cash youve in vested Its somewhat like buying stocks on margin with the Important difference that you dont have to worry about your Investment dro pping to
