second successive year won the East School Ho ckey league championship Following the dinner Pop Walker presented his trophy emblematic of league supremacy to Ken coach of the championship winning recent election of officers for Mr steps up to take Ray Smiths Ray Smith has been ap pointed president of the club Under Mr Smiths chairman ship the Optimist club sponsored a four team bantam ball league and a bantam team in the North York minor baseball league and Ontario Baseball association During the past winter the Op timists sponsored a four team bantammidget hockey league Some boys registered for play in the league The club also sponsored a bantam team in the North York minor hockey league and Smith deserves the congratulations of all town sportsmen for his guid ance of the Optimist clubs busy minor sport program During the winter Ross was coach of the bantam entry and referred many of the league games as well as handling a great games in the Little Mr Goddard will take
