even at the game and who admits she is no authority on hockey chooses to write an edi torial against us This hardly seems logical to me She as well as your sports editor thinks we should tell our players to play clean or not to play at all I have been coaching hockey in Newmarket for the past five years and this is the first time or disrespect to the officials or any unnecessary rough play We play according to the rule book as we see it If anyone can do any better now is your time to step forward and take over for I am completely fed up with the treatment we have received over this one game Since writing this letter anyone has had to tell me have been in and J fill It Sc I MOLE OR SHANK HUT lb NEWMARKET iwy to tell my players We had played six games pre vious to the game and no other team or manager had told us we were a dirty team I at no time have ever instructed any team to play a dirty game or deliberately go out to injure an opponent We were also told to tell our players to play accord ing to the rules We received five minor penalties during this game as did Alliston During the previous game with Aurora we received no penalties at alt If this is not playing according to the rules I guess we had bet ter let someone else take over the team The referees in this game included Mr Cliff who two days previous to this played a return game This was five days
