County They were accompanied by Reeve A- A Cook Aurora Warden of York County and Mrs Cook also Miss Jeanne Armour Ontario WI home economist- Mrs Mel whose husband owns targe coconut and rubber plantation In Ceylon was great Impressed with her tour of the Holland Marsh The scene of the marsh farm lands was a rev elation to the charming Ceylon- delegate to find that the re claimed land can committee Members of York North dist rict served afternoon tea and were addressed the overseas delegates After seeing the pub lic rest room set up by the New market WI Miss Lewis and lady returned to Toronto and Mrs Armstrongs wont on to Hall Museum in York Countys park at Lake Here they had a delicious supper and explored the wonders of Hall the original home of the family They visited the beautiful St George church built by Captain in memory his wife Susan They saw the old graveyard with its ancient monuments and beautiful trees Mrs van marvelled at Ontarios lakes I have seen Lake Ontario Erie and now Lake she commented When you realize that Holland is the size of Lake Erie and has million people you will under stand why there Is not enough room for them all In my country That is why they want to come to Canada she stated By this time it was growing dark and the party was past due at the home of Mrs Titus Perri- president of the Union Street which was meeting at her home Mrs Armstrong had planned that the delegates should see a rural in action They were cordially welcomed by Mrs green To show how a girls homemaking and garden club are part of the organization a number
