Mrs. Norman S. Sutherland, of Grimsby, died Friday at Brown's Rest Home, Beamsville, after a lingering illness.
In her 79th year, she was born at Newington, Ontario, a daughter of the late John and Luella Snetsinger, and had lived most of her life at Grimsby. She was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, a life member of the Women's Auxiliary of St. Andrew's, and a life member of Grimsby Women's Institute.
Surviving are two sons, Wilson, of Beamsville, and John, of Hamilton; two daughters, Mrs. Wray Betts, of Grimsby Beach, and Mrs. Solon Burgess, of Grimsby; and a brother, James Snetsinger, of Chicago.
The remains rested at the Stonehouse Funeral Home where services were held by Rev. E.A. Brooks on Monday afternoon. Interment was in Queen's Lawn Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Leslie Larsen, Clarence Shelton, Edward Marlow, Roy St. John, Ernest Tomison and Ernest Rycroft.
