Matthew Harper, brother of Wm. Harper of Grimsby and John Harper of Winona was killed in the GTR yards in Hamilton on Tuesday night. Mr. Harper was brakesman on the GTR train from Allandale and was last seen at the Junction in the yards as he passed through the cars. When the train ran into the station Harper could not be found, and word was received from the Junction operator that a body was lying along the track. Upon investigation it was found to be Harper's. Both legs were cut off and the body horribly mutilated. How he got under the wheels is a mystery, but it is supposed he slipped while passing between the cars and in falling grabbed something to save himself and was thrown under the wheels.
