Hildreth, Elmer and Hildreth, Margaret Alice (née Jacobs) (Anniversary: 50)

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hildreth, R.R. 1, Vinemount, Ontario, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, September 23. They will be at home to their friends and neighbours from 2 to 4 in the afternoon and 7 to 9 in the evening of that day.

Mr. and Mrs. Hildreth were married at Grassies by the late Rev. Roxburgh, at the home of the bride's parents, Mrs. Hildreth being then Margaret Alice, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hamilton Jacobs, and lived about 3 miles from their present home where Mr. Hildreth was born and has lived since. He is still actively engaged in farming a portion of this original farm and is a great lover of horses.

Their family consists of one daughter, (Ivy D.) Mrs. Oscar Tweedle, R.R. 5, Hamilton, Ont., and they have 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
