A resident of Beamsville and the township for the past 25 years, Mrs. Permilla Jane Ripenburg died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Daniel Crown, on Wednesday evening after a lengthy illness. She was in her 78th year. Her husband, Mervin, predeceased her in 1945.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Crown; 3 sons, Gordon of Hamilton, Stanley of St. Ann's, Lloyd of St. Catharines; 2 brothers, William Howden of Hamilton and James Howden of Bradenton, Fla; a sister, Mrs. James Van Dusen of Stoney Creek; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
