All the surrounding ‘public schools have been invited to attend this event.. A refreshment booth will be built and a tea room arranged in the basement for the spectators. The high school is now holding open Literary meetings on Friday afterâ€" noons. This was started after the Easter holidays so that the pupils might have a â€"chance to express their views and speak on given subjects. On Friday last a Parliament was formed among the Senior Pupils of the school . B. Marlow was appointed Premier and his cabinet included Francis Jacklin, Pat McConnell, Helen McNiven, Henry Loud, and Perry Mcâ€" Lean. Jean Pettit was the leader of the opposition. Mrs. William Shafer, 12 St. Anâ€" drew‘s Ave., graciously entertained a number of friends on Monday and Wednesday evenings at tea and bridge. On Monday evening when there were three tables in play, Mrs. C. D. Millâ€" yard held the high score and Mrs. Russell Terry won second prize. Conâ€" solation prize was won by Miss Marâ€" garet Allan.
