I. was held at the home of Mrs. W. Wilcox on Thursday afternoon. After the usual opening exercises the minutes of the last meeting were read and adopted. An interesting roll call on "Trips We Have Taken" was well responded to by the members. Mrs. H. Stirling gave an interesting report of the District Annual Meeting at Port Dalhousie. Enjoyable readings were given by Miss Lily Downes and Mrs. H. Secor. Mrs. Isaac Southward ren- dered an Alphabet Song of her own composing which was enjoyed by all. Miss Ruby Wilcox gave an interesting Hawaiian selection. A contest con- ducted by Mrs. Wilcox concluded the program. Prizes were won by Mrs. M. Reed and Miss B. Ross. A vote of thanks was passed to the hostess and the meeting closed with singing the National Anthem We think now that the election is over the weather will be settled. Re- cent rains have been a great help to the farmers. We are pleased to hear that Mrs. Emily .Gowland is back after spend- ing the winter with her son, Norval Gowland at Windsor. Grimsby Centre School and Com- munity picnic will be held at Queen- ston Heights on Saturday, June 30th. Parents are askelto drive their own cars, if possible.
