The Exâ€"Students of Grimsby High School are making arrangements . to hold a dance in the High School auâ€" ditorium on Thursday night, Decemâ€" ber 28th. 4 Special Christmas services will be held in the churches of the town on Sunday, when the ministers will speak on Christmas themes and the choirs will render Christmas music. Mr. Johnson will continue in the service of Mr. Rushton. A number of beautiful pedigreed canaries belonging to W. Turner, will be at McPherson‘s Feed Store on Friâ€" day, from two to four o‘clock, when the public is invited to hear them sing. Christmas services will be held in the Baptist church on Sunday. In the morning the message will be on giving Christ the proper place in our Christmas activities, "Greeting the Christ Child." The choir will render appropriate messages in music at both services. On Thursday evening, W. T. Fralick will entertain the county council and officials at the annual Warden‘s banâ€" quet to be held at the Hotel Leonard. The stores of Grimsby merchants will be open every evening from now until the end of the week. The annual Christmas entertainment of the Sunday School of the United Church was held in Trinity Hallâ€" on Wednesday evening. The Grimsby Water Commission held its final meeting of the year on Tuesday when routine business was transacted. Exâ€"Mayor Hewson who recently disâ€" posed of his home on Nelles Boulevard is building another residence on the east side of the same street. Someone visited the premises of Mr. W. H. Cole, Grimsby, during the week and appropriated three bunches of shingles. ‘There were five bunches of shingles in the lot and Mr. Cole deâ€" sires to intimate that if the party who lifted them will come back he will give him the other two. The ice at Grimsby Beach at some points extends about a hundred yards from the shore. The ice banks, howâ€" ever, are not very high.
