After considerable discussion, it was moved by Jas. A. Livingston, seconded by J. W. Duval, that Jas. Running be engaged as caretaker of the new High School building at a salary of $300 per year. The moâ€" tion was lost. It was moved by A. F. Hawke, seconded by J. J. Groce, that Mâ€". Arthur Hayhoe be engaged as caraâ€" taker of the new High School build ing, at a salary of $840 per year. The motion carried. It was moved by J. A. Livingston, seconded by J. W. Duval, that the Property . Committee be authorized to make a contract with Arthur Hayâ€" hoe for one year, to be terminated at any time by giving one month‘s notice by either party, on conditi>n that Mr. Hayhoe become a resident of the Village of Grimsby as soon as possible.
