In St. Andrew's Anglican Church in Grimsby, the marriage was solemnized on Friday, June 1st, of Ruth Louisa, daughter of Mrs. Cornwell and the late E.W. Cornwell, and Donald Edward Riches, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C.W.Riches, Grimsby Beach.
Rev. E.A.Brooks officiated and Mr. B.E. Webster played the wedding music.
Given in marriage by her brother, Earl Cornwell, the bride wore a gown of blue nylon marquisette with chantilly lace and carried a nosegay of white roses and lily of the valley. Her only attendant was her sister, Miss Shirley Cornwell, in orchid nylon.
Douglas Cole was best man and the ushers were Havelock Jewson and Arthur Brydon.
After a reception for the immediate families, the couple flew to New York for their honeymoon.
