Vinemount - Mr. and Mrs. George Edwin Travis celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday, April 22nd. On Saturday night the family served a dinner in the Women's Institute Hall to 84 of their immediate family and the bride's and groom's sisters and brothers.

Seated at the head table with Mr. and Mrs. Travis were Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hildreth, Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Hill, Fulton, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Travis, Fulton, and Mr. Bert Travis, Hamilton.

The Hall and home decorations consisted of pink streamers and flowers. Mr. Stuart Jeffries decorated the Hall.

Congratulations by telegram were received from the King and Queen, the Hon. George Drew, Mr. Frank Lennard, M.P., and one from Holland from the father and mother of a Holland bride, wife of Walter Travis, grandson of Mr. and Mrs. G.E. Travis.
