Many friends regretted to learn of the death of Charles Anderson who passed away on Monday following a brief illness. He was able to be about until a few days ago.

The deceased who was in his 67th year was born in this town Sept. 29th, 1867. He was a member of the West Lincoln Branch, Canadian Legion and served on the Niagara Frontier with the 24th Lincoln Regiment. He was also a member of the Orange Order and an Anglican in religion.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nettie Whittaker, Hamilton.

The funeral took place from the residence of his sister-in-law, Mrs. Chas. Burgess on Wednesday at 3:30 o'clock, Rev. J.A. Ballard officiating. Members of the Legion were in attendance. Burial took place in the Soldier's Plot at Queen's Lawn Cemetery.

The pallbearers were William Schwab, B. Boulter, A. Stevenson, Geo. Warner, Fred Jewson and T. Bovaird.
