The death occurred in Petermaritzburg,South Africa, on May 5th of the Rev. Dr. Frank Livingston, a brother of the late James A. Livingston. Deceased was well known by the older residents of this district. He first went to Africa as a Methodist Missionary in 1895. During the Boer war he was captured by the Boers but finally made his escape and by swimming the Majuba river reached safety behind the British lines. He then returned to Canada and made a lecture tour, married a Kingston young lady and returned to Africa. He leaves a widow, three children, one sister and one brother to mourn his loss.
