Fardoe, John E. and Bowslaugh, Edith Alma (Married)

The home of Mr. and Mrs. E.E.Bowslaugh of Grimsby East, Ont., was the scene at 4 o'clock on Dec. 29, of a very pretty wedding, when Edith Alma, their second daughter, was joined in holy wedlock to John E. Fardoe, son of Mr. and Mrs. William E. Fardoe of Brandon, Man. Rev. C.L. Poole of Central United church, Grimsby, officiated.
The bride was charmingly attired in a dress of white silk georgette, trimmed with rhinestones. Her veil was caught with orange blossoms and pearls and she carried a large bouquet of white roses and maiden hair fern.
The bride's only attendant was her sister, Queenie M. of Guelph, Ont., who wore a frock of pencil blue satin-faced crepe and carried a bouquet of red carnations and ferns.
The groom was attended by his brother Harry of Toronto, Ont.
The house was beautifully decorated with ferns, flowers, white bells, streamers of white ribbon and Christmas decorations.
The bride's mother was gowned in navy blue silk and carried a corsage bouquet of carnations.
After luncheon the happy couple left for New York and points east, the bride traveling in a rosewood crepe dress, fur trimmed coat and hat to match. On their return they will take up their residence in Brandon, Man.
