McIntosh, Robert Burns and Lounsbury, Ethel May (Married)
- Full Text
The marriage was solemnized Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lounsbury, Fruitland, of their second daughter, Ethel May, to Mr. Robert Burns McIntosh, of Winona, the ceremony taking place under an arch of evergreen and honeysuckle. The bride was given away by her father, the wedding march being played by Miss Dorothy Cantelo of Waterford. The bride looked charming in a silk canton frock, caught with orange blossoms. Her long silk embroidered Brussels net veil was becomingly arranged with orange blossoms, and she carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and valley lilies. Her sister, Miss Gladys Lounsbury, was bridesmaid, wearing a pretty gown of peach crepe de chine and lace, and carried a bouquet of Halley gladioli. The groom was attended by his brother, Mr. Charles McIntosh. Following the ceremony a buffet luncheon was served, an interesting feature being the wedding cake ornaments, which had decorated the bride's parents' golden anniversary cake. Mr. and Mrs. McIntosh left on a motor trip and will reside at Fruitland upon their return. For going away the bride wore a chic grey costume with coat, shoes and hat to match. The bride was the recipient of many beautiful and useful presents, testimonials of the high esteem in which she is held.
