Full Text

Welland Tribune - Alvin O. Beatty, one of the foremost citizens and businessmen of Welland, passed away at John Hopkins hospital, Baltimore, early on Tuesday morning. Mr. Beatty, who had been in failing health for the past 3 years, and more recently quite markedly so, was taken to Baltimore on February 8, for the most skilled advice. As a resident of Welland for over three score years, and the head of what was for years Welland's only industry, as one who played a large part in the building up and development of the town, he has left a large gap in the life of Welland.
