it was a big, happy family gathering that assembled at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S.F. Russ on Friday night to celebrate the silver wedding of the host and hostess.
Over 40 relatives and friends had a hand in the surprise for these popular citizens, and when the contents of many boxes and baskets were loaded in the tables, and in the centre place a wonderful wedding cake with 25 lighted candles thereon, no persons in all the house were more bewildered than the pair who were being so happily congratulated on their quarter century of married life.
From the crowd was presented by Mrs. E. Hurst, a beautiful pair of embossed silver candle sticks, afterwards a jolly dance and card game was carried on until after midnight.
