Winona lost one of its oldest and most highly respected residents early on Monday morning, when Mrs. Samuel Budge passed away very suddenly at her late residence on Station Road. Mrs. Budge, in her 79th year, had been enjoying the best of health, and news of her death came as a great shock to the many friends of the family. The deceased had been a resident of Winona for 53 years and had been a lifelong member of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Grimsby.
Left to mourn her demise is her husband, Samuel Budge; three sons, John, of Winona; William R., of Hamilton, and Murray, of Cashmere, Wash., and two daughters, Mrs. Jessie Beamer, of Port Arthur, and Margaret, at home.
The funeral took place at 2:30 o'clock this (Wednesday) afternoon from the family residence, where the service will be in charge of Rev. L.H. Currie and interment at the Presbyterian cemetery, Grimsby.
