A pretty wedding took place at 3 o'clock in St. Andrew's Church, Grimsby, on Jan. 1st, 1924, when Mellissa Fern, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Schwab, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Frederick William Boxall, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Boxall, Wellington Street, Hamilton, Rev. J. Allan Ballard officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown of blue crepe de chene with crystal trimming, black satin picture hat with shoes to match and carried a shower bouquet of Sunburst roses. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Hazel Wilson, who was gowned in Copenhagen blue satin with silver trimmings with hat to match and carried Columbia roses. Mr. Thomas Shaw was best man. Immediately after the ceremony the happy party left by motor for Hamilton, where the wedding supper was served at the home of the bridegroom's parents.

Some 50 guests were present. Mrs. W.J. Schwab, mother of the bride, wore back satin with jet trimmings. Mrs. J. Boxall, mother of the bridegroom, wore brown satin with coral trimming. The out of town guests present at the wedding were...The bride received many beautiful and useful gifts.

Mr. and Mrs. Boxall spent their honeymoon in Grimsby and Hamilton, and left on Monday for Halfway, Mich., where they will reside.
