A very pretty wedding took place on Wednesday, December 5th, at St. John's Presbyterian Church, Grimsby, when Erla May Dorety, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Maecker, of Preston, Ont., was married to John Eric Chadwick, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Chadwick, Grimsby, Ont., the Rev. L.H. Currie officiating.

The bride, who was given away by her grandfather, Mr. Joel L. Snyder, looked charming in an orchid canton crepe gown with crystal trimming, and black satin picture hat, and carried a shower bouquet of lily of the valley and Butterfly roses. She was attended by her sister, Miss Marjorie Dorety, who was dressed in grey canton crepe with beaded trimmings, and black velvet hat and carried Columbia roses.

Mr. Frank Hitchman, of Hamilton, acted as best man, and the ushers were Mr. George Shepherd and Mr. Edgar Farewell, both of Grimsby. During the signing of the register, Miss Florence Norton sang "Because" with Mrs. Alex Scott presiding at the organ.

The groom's gift to the bride was a string of pearls and a cheque. To the bridesmaid, a beaded bag; to the best man, gold cuff links and to the ushers, gold eversharp pencils.

Immediately after the ceremony the happy couple left on a trip to Buffalo and Youngstown, Ohio, the bride travelling in a black velvet gown with grey squirrel trimming, grey bolivia cloth coat, and hat of black satin with gold trimming.

On their return Mr. and Mrs. Chadwick will reside at 510 Jarvis, St., Toronto.
