The funeral of William Groves, a former citizen here for over 20 years, was held from his home in St. Catharines, on Monday afternoon to Hamilton cemetery.
Deceased, while living in Beamsville, took an active interest in everything that pertained to the work of the Presbyterian church and for over 10 years conducted the Bible class. Mr. Groves was born in Hamilton 65 years ago. Surviving are his widow and one daughter, Mrs. W.J. Graham, of Winnipeg.
He was also a member of Ivy Lodge, A.F. & A.M. here. A number of the lodge members went to Hamilton on Monday to take part in the funeral obsequies.
