The death occurred in Hamilton General Hospital on Monday, January 5th, of William Adolphus Wentworth, in his 82nd year.
Deceased was born in Ireland but had spent all his early life in Grimsby. He was the son of the late Amos and Catherine Wentworth and was well known throughout the district by his nickname of "Buck".
He was a member of the third contingent of Canadian soldiers that went to the South African war and also served overseas in the First Great War.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, and one brother, Amos, of Owen Sound.
