S. Thomas McBrier, of Akron, Ohio, was killed outright, and Frank Becker and Harry Miller, also of Akron, were seriously injured Sunday night when a motor car in which they were driving homeward from a fishing trip to Northern Ontario went into the ditch between Vineland and Beamsville.

When travelling at a fairly fast clip the Akron car turned out to pass another car going in the same direction. The car went into the ditch, back onto the road and turned turtle. McBrier's body was badly cut and bruised and he died almost immediately.

The extent of the injuries suffered by the other two is still unknown. They were unable even to give their names when they were taken to Wellandra hospital, St. Catharines. The body of the dead man was taken to Beamsville awaiting instructions from friends in Akron.
