The death occurred at the home of her grand-daughter, Mrs. Frank Hall, Windsor, on Monday, Jan. 8, 1923, of Mrs. Clarissa Batty, of St. George, relict of the late Christopher Batty, in her 87th year. Mrs. Batty was born in Markham in 1837, the daughter of John and Mary Anderson, but after her marriage lived at St. George for many years. For some years past she has made her home with her niece, Mrs. M. St. John, of Grimsby, and was on a visit to Windsor when death occurred. Surviving are two sons, Lewis and Blake Batty of California; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Terryberry and Mrs. Harriett Willcox, both of Niagara Falls, and several nephews and nieces in the Grimsby district. The funeral took place in St. George on Thursday, Jan. 11.
