A quiet home wedding was celebrated at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert P. Merritt, North Grimsby, on Monday, Sept. 18, 1922, when their eldest daughter, Esther May, was married to George William Gledhill, only son of Mr. and Mrs. G.W. Gledhill, Sr., of Grimsby, the Rev. J. Allan Ballard of St. Andrews Anglican church officiating. A.W. Long, of Toronto, acted as best man and Miss Hattie M. Merritt, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid, and only immediate relatives of the family, from Toronto and Grimsby, were present. Mr. and Mrs. Gledhill left on a motor trip to visit relatives and friends through central Ontario, and will reside in Grimsby in their return.
