The death is announced from England of Mrs. John H. McNeilly formerly of Stoney Creek. Mr. and Mrs. McNeilly went to Great Britain in July last in company with the Rev. T. Jackson Wray of Milestone, Sask., when that gentleman attended the Ecumenical conference in London. Mrs. Wray, who is a sister of Mr. McNeilly and of Mrs. George W. Millen of Stoney Creek was also of the party and they intended touring the Old Country. Mr. McNeilly was taken ill and had to undergo an operation which altered the plans of the party. About the time Mr. McNeilly was able to travel, Mrs. McNeilly was stricken and her death resulted. Mr. McNeilly is returning with the remains on the Metagama which will dock at St. John, N.B. on Sunday, Dec. 3. The late Mrs. McNeilly was Miss Ursula VanWagner, eldest daughter of Townsend VanWagner and sister of Mrs. Walter Denne of Stoney Creek. She was a member of the Anglican Church of the Redeemer and was one of the organizers of the Women's Institute in which she took a deep interest. Funeral arrangements are held in abeyance pending the arrival of the boat.
