An old time resident of Grimsby district passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 1921, in the person of William York at his residence in Grimsby. Mr. York was born in Gainsboro Township in 1850, but early in life came to Grimsby Township, and has lived in this locale ever since. Surviving to mourn his loss are three sons, Murray in Michigan, George in Grimsby and Melvin in Lansing, Mich.; one brother, Daniel, of Rochester; two sisters, Mrs. George Giles of Beamsville and Mrs. H. Hannis of St. Davids. The funeral took place on Wednesday, July 13, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery, the Rev. Dr. Irwin officiating. Since the above was written, Daniel York has died.
