Wales, Cerena Agnes (née Boughner) (Died)

There passed peacefully away at Clinton St., Toronto, Cerena Agnes Boughner, widow of the late George H. Wales of Kingston, Jamaica in her 59th year. She was the fifth daughter of Wm. C. Boughner and his wife, Patience Maria Summer, both of good Loyalist stock. Jacob Beam Sr. was a great grandfather of Mrs. Wales. On her mother's side they have the genealogical line dating back to 1632 when the first Summer settled in Virginia. During the war Mrs. Wales worked unceasingly in many branches of war work. She leaves two daughters and two sons to mourn her loss, Mrs. Peter McLellan of Arcola, Sask.; Mrs. Arthur Hodgetts of Toronto, Ont.; George B. of the Toronto Post staff who was overseas; and Reginald H. of Toronto. Also three sisters, Mrs. W.F. Clarke, Grimsby Ont., Mrs. E.A. Kemp, Edmonton, Alberta, Mrs. R.H. Kemp, Grimsby, Ont. Mrs. Wales taught in the public school in Grimsby for four years when Mr. James Brodie was the principal.
