Deceased was an active member of the board of directors of the Clinton Agricultural Society, had served on the council and board of education, and was a strong worker on the executive of the Lincoln County Conservative Association. The best interests of the place in which he lived was ever his first consideration and his various activities along these lines will serve to keep his memory green. For over 10 years he had been a member of the social club and his participation in its affairs and welfare will be missed by the great majority of its members.
