Beamsville Express - Death came suddenly on Tuesday morning, Sept. 7, 1920 to Cynthia A. Wardell, wife of Daniel Smith, in her 71st year. Mrs. Smith had been ailing ever since her serious accident last year, when she fell down stairs but the immediate cause of her death was a paralytic stroke with which she was stricken on Tuesday morning. Two sisters, Mrs. and Miss Emma Wardell of Smithville, and three brothers, A. Wardell, Beamsville; W.W. of Chicago; and M.G. of Toronto as well as her sorrowing husband are left to mourn her demise. The funeral took place from her late residence on Thursday, Sept. 9, at 2:20 p.m.
