Hamilton Spectator - Mary Ann Tallman, widow of William Tallman, passed away at the residence of her son, James T. Tallman, 316 Wellington St. North on October 13th, after a short illness. Mrs.Tallman was born near Beamsville where she had resided for the greater part of her life. Her husband for many years was the proprietor of the Beamsville Pressed Brick works. For the last 15 years, Mrs. Tallman had been a respected resident of this city and since coming here had been a member of the First Methodist Church. Surviving her are two sons, Walter Tallman who is street commissioner of Winnipeg, and James H., with whom she resided. Also a brother, Frank Grobb, Brantford, and a sister, Sophia Grobb of Port Dalhousie. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon at 1:30 from her late residence to Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville, for interment.
