Mrs. Joseph Grigg, a highly respected citizen of North Grimsby, passed away at her home on the Ridge Road, North Grimsby, after over a year's illness. The deceased lady was the widow of the late Joseph Grigg, who after many years' residence in North Grimsby, passed away in 1887. Mrs. Grigg was formerly Miss Emily Ann Hooper. She was born in England and came with her father's family to Centralis, Ont., when about 6 years old. Mrs. Grigg was in excellent health up to January, 1914, when she had a slight attack of paralysis. She recovered somewhat from this but had another attack in August, 1914, and since that time has been in poor health and passed peacefully away on Sunday morning, March 28. The funeral took place on Tuesday afternoon, March 30, services being held at the house. Interment at Queen's Lawn Cemetery. The remains were followed to the grave by a large concourse of friends, relatives and acquaintances. She is survived by five brothers, and one sister, and by three sons, Wesley, of Buffalo, William and Russell at home, and two daughters, Mrs. W. Dellabough, of Toronto, and Mrs. W.G. Brand, of North Grimsby.
