Mr. John A. White, for many years a highly respected citizen of Winona and for the past few years a citizen of Grimsby passed away at his home on Maple Avenue, Grimsby, on Friday, April 7, 1911. The deceased was for many years one of Saltfleet's most prosperous fruit farmers, living on the stone road about one mile west of Winona. A few years ago he sold his fruit farm and moved to Grimsby. He has been in delicate health for the past few years, although he was able to be on the street up to a month ago. His wife died last year and since that time he has been failing fast. He had reached the age of 77. The funeral took place on Monday, April 11, to Queen's Lawn Cemetery. Services were conducted by A.I. Terryberry, Grimsby, assisted by Rev. R. Davey, Beamsville.
