John Gowland, a well known and highly respected farmer of Elfrida, died at his home there on April 22, aged 62 years. Deceased was born near Toronto and had resided at Elfrida for the past ten years. Prior to that he resided in Tapleytown. He is survived by four sons and four daughters. The funeral took place at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, to the Tapleytown Church.
